L-glutamine

L-glutamine

  • L-glutamine is an amino acid
  • The human musculature consists of around 60% L-glutamine.
  • L-glutamine is ideal for strength and endurance athletes.

What is L-glutamine and why does the body need L-glutamine

L-glutamine is one of 20 amino acids and belongs to the group of non-essential amino acids. This means that the body produces this amino acid itself. Glutamine is also absorbed through food.

Human muscles consist of around 60% of this essential amino acid. The important role of L-glutamine in our body is made very clear by this high proportion.

Unfortunately, the BAG does not allow any health-related claims regarding L-glutamine.

Can I meet my daily needs through food?

The maximum daily dose of L-glutamine in food supplements has been set by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) at 10g.

A lot of L-glutamine is found in grains such as wheat and spelt, in legumes such as lentils, soybeans and peas, and also in meat.

With a balanced diet, you can easily cover your intake. Unless you do regular, intensive exercise sessions, it can make sense to specifically compensate for deficiencies.

The following amounts of L-glutamine can be found in 100g of the respective food:
100g of wheat contains 4,080mg L-glutamine
100g spelt flour contains 5,170mg L-glutamine
100g of lentils contain 4,490mg L-glutamine
100g of mung beans contain 4,810 L-glutamine
100g of soybeans contain 6,490 L-glutamine
100g of peanuts contain 5,630 L-glutamine
100g of cheese contains 3,050 - 8,100 L-glutamine

FAQ

How many capsules do I get?

Your Indyvit contains 290 capsules, which we produce in our laboratory just for you, after we receive your order.

Can I save my mix or reorder it?

Sure! Your orders are saved in your user account. This way you always have an overview and can reorder. Of course you can also adjust a new order.

How and when should I take my indyvit?

Ideally, you should take your Indyvit with a meal, together with a glass of water. Instead of a meal, you can also have a glass of milk or orange juice or something similar. Taking it with a meal makes sense, as this way the ingredients can be better absorbed by your body.

If you configure a mix with several capsules per day, it is recommended that you distribute them throughout the day.

If you don't want to swallow capsules, you can also open the capsules and mix them with a non-hot food.
