Tailor-made recommendation
Based on your 8-isopostane marker and the information you provided when registering for the test, our team of experts will work out a personal supplement recommendation for you. Here, too, your recipe will be unique.
Why the 8-isopostane marker?
When free radicals cause damage to cells or other biological structures, this is referred to as oxidative stress. Measuring lipid peroxidation determines the extent to which the cell membrane has already been damaged by free radicals.
The cell membrane consists largely of unsaturated fatty acids, which can react very quickly with radicals. Oxidation products are formed from these membrane fatty acids, the concentration of which provides information about the extent of the damage.
The marker 8-isoprostane determined here is considered to be a meaningful marker for oxidative stress. 8-isoprostane has a constricting effect on the blood vessels in the metabolism and can therefore contribute to an increase in blood pressure. Increased values for lipid peroxidation indicate weaknesses in radical detoxification and thus an increased need for antioxidants.
Knowledge is power!
This is especially true in the longevity area. The more you know about the condition of your body, the more efficiently you can work on optimizing it.
The "Oxidative Stress" urine test gives you an insight into how far the cell damage caused by free radicals has progressed in your body. And if action is required, we will give you an individual recommendation for supplementation.
