What is Beta-carotene (Vit. A) and why does the body need Beta-carotene (Vit. A)

According to the latest regulation on food supplements, vitamin A may only be used as beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is a precursor to vitamin A. The body converts beta-carotene into vitamin A. This is why it is also called provitamin A.
Beta-carotene has the advantage over vitamin A that it does not cause hypervitaminosis (vitamin oversupply). This risk has always led to great concerns with vitamin A. However, the benefits for the human body remain quite similar.

In plants, carotenes help with photosynthesis and protect against the harmful effects of UV rays. In the roots of plants, they also provide protection against infections.

According to the BAG, the benefits of beta-carotene (vitamin A) are as follows:
    - Vitamin A contributes to normal iron metabolism.
    - Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes.
    - Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal skin.
    - Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal vision.
    - Vitamin A contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system.
    - Vitamin A has a function in cell specialization.

Can I meet my daily needs through food?

Humans consume large amounts of beta-carotene through their diet. The daily intake recommended by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) is 4.8 mg of beta-carotene. The maximum daily dose has been limited to 8.1 mg.

The daily recommended amount of 4.8 mg of beta-carotene can be obtained through daily food as follows:

Your Indyvit contains 290 capsules, which we produce in our laboratory just for you, after we receive your order.

Can I save my mix or reorder it?

Sure! Your orders are saved in your user account. This way you always have an overview and can reorder. Of course you can also adjust a new order.

How and when should I take my indyvit?

Ideally, you should take your Indyvit with a meal, together with a glass of water. Instead of a meal, you can also have a glass of milk or orange juice or something similar. Taking it with a meal makes sense, as this way the ingredients can be better absorbed by your body.

If you configure a mix with several capsules per day, it is recommended that you distribute them throughout the day.

If you don't want to swallow capsules, you can also open the capsules and mix them with a non-hot food.
